And a warning to y'all: N64 Ultimate is a FAKE... a very old fake, since I first heard of it almost two months ago. Thanks to vilagran for reminding me about this fake N64 emu (this guy also told me that today, December 28, is the joke day in Spain).

BrSMS 1.13 has been released for registered users only ! Two good things in this new release are SNES pad support, and a Fast-Forward key (NumLock). And I wanna remind you AGAIN that registering BrSMS is TOTALLY FREE, so I suggest you head to the BrSMS Homepage now and go register it, and receive your copy earlier :) And please do not spread the registered BrSMS to anyone, not even to your closest friends. By the way, other emulators that were released are: z26 1.23 and the lovely uNESsential 0.14 (not 0.15 as stated by Pragit).

Shhh... be very very quiet, and don't spread this text to anyone... it's a top secret thingy from Microsoft... it's a small part of the source code included in ALL their software :)

News about two ROMs that we have here: Super Mario 4 for the GameBoy is nothing more than a hack of Crayon Shinchan 4 (thanks to SkeletonT for the news), and Super Mario Bros for the Genesis is another hack, and was dumped by Jolly Snowman (thanks to Nanaki XII for the news), and the same Nanaki sent me a text about the dump of that Genesis SMB game, which you can read here. Umm... speaking of ROMs, our Wanted List has been updated with a few more ROMs.

And... I'm announcing that the ROM of the Week section will return. Also, I intend on putting an "Articles Section" here, but I'll be depending on the public for this. That means, if you ever wrote an interesting article about emulation-related subjects, please email me your article. If many articles (many enough for the site, I mean) are posted, I'll open the Articles Section in here.

Well... we moved to GameROM's server also... it's a lot faster than Tripod. Unfortunately we only moved the HTML (pages), we were unable to move all the ROMs... and our URL will be the same (http://move.to/end), but now you can also use the URL http://gamerom.com/end. And here is mannn's Christmas gift to everyone... a Genesis ROM which is called Super Mario Bros !!! Believe it or not, Mario's on the Genny :) Neither I or mannn know who made/dumped/released this game, so email me if you have more info on this one.

Better late than never... here is a quick briefing of what is/was new while I was out:
- NAZ re-dumped the sound ROMs for KOF'97... the fix is 11Mb big.
- Other than the DreamCast emulator (not DeCent) which could run almost flawlessly on a P120, there's now two another rumors. One is about Sardu adding CPS2 support on Callus (for Windows/DirectX), I guess many people has seen the 'collage' of Callus running SF Alpha 2. Second rumor... this is not about emulators, but it's been really commented today... it's about ROMList releasing KOF '98 on their HotLine server only.
- Some good emulators were updated on Christmas, including ZSNES (updated to 0.800c (or 0.800a, which should be used only if you have problems with 0.800c), already expected by us), Megasis (updated to 0.02), PasoFami (updated to PasoFami99 v0.0 (yes, the oldest NES emu out there has been updated !)), DBOY (updated to 0.36), SNES9X (Windows port updated) and Neo-Free MAME (I don't know the homepage for it), which is the opposite to NeoMAME. Remember, all those emus can be downloaded from Zophar's Domain.
- Vertigo 2099 released their Virtual Boy Pack #2 and their NES Pack #52 ! Visit VT2099 now, you can't miss those releases !
- New versions of RockNES and VBEmu may be coming out soon.

Sorry but I'm still unable to upload ROMs (lack of a good connection, time and patience). I can only say that I need to post at least Teleroboxer (Virtual Boy), Frogger (SNES and Genesis), X-Perts (Genesis), and Metal Slader Glory (NES). I also need to fix many broken links (Xoom really sucks).

A few days after I posted about DataPotato's return, the site died again, and now it's gone forever because of the usual lamers. May it rest in peace...

Emulator Releases: DBOY 0.34, Nemu64 0.006, WinUAE 0.8.6 R2, SNES9X 1.16 (Linux only for now) and MAME 0.34 RC2. Speaking of WinUAE, you can see how this site looks like on a "real" Amiga by seeing this screenshot.

And just a quick note for all you leechers out there: DataPotato is alive and kickin'. Other two great ROM sites that were updated recently are Badge's Lighthouse and Norseman's Cybergrounds.

A cool guy named Claus has submitted DreamCast drivers for MAME. A screenshot of MAME emulating the DreamCast system (running Virtua Fighter 3 at a decent framerate) can be viewed at Emulation Camp. Even more NeoGeo sound ROMs are being re-dumped... such as the sound ROMs for KOF '95, Blazing Stars, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and Samurai Shodown 4. Some of those re-dumps can be downloaded from RetroGames and Dave's Classics.

Emulator releases: NeoMAME 0.34 RC1, Nestra 0.51, NES4PC 0.251, Atari800Win 2.5a and DBOY 0.33. Also, two frontends for DBOY are available at RetroGames, and CYMPLAY has been ported to Windows (it also can be downloaded from Zophar's Domain).

Some guy nicknamed NEON has released an interesting utility called CYMPLAY, which is a player for Callus .CYM files. It can obtained from here... and according to that homepage, GYMPLAY may be also coming up ! (GYMPLAY is for Genecyst .GYM files)

fMSX 2.0 beta was released yesterday... and Marat's suggesting the users to find bugs by themselves (I wonder why...). Since I didn't test it yet (the DOS and Windows ports weren't released) I can say no more about this great release. For now only the Unix/X port is available and can be obtained from the fMSX official website.

NES4PC has also been updated to version 0.25 beta. Zapper support and VS system were implemented, along with some more mappers and lots of optimizations and bugfixes. And also, an interview with Akilla (NES4PC's author) has just been posted at news-u-lator.

aMAME and pMAME have also been updated to RC1, and they're available at RetroGames, as usual :)

One of the very few non-fake N64 emulators has been updated again... go get Nemu64 0.005 at RetroGames or Zophar's Domain.

Seems like I missed some good news, such as the interview with some IDSA director conducted by DragonYen... you can read the interview at EliteGamer.

Believe me or not, a LEGITIMATE DreamCast emulator is under development. It's called Decent, and even runs a few demos... but it hasn't been released to the public yet. And remember... you saw it first on Zophar's Domain :)

Yes, I already know that some ROMs here are down, and now I can't do anything about it. Sorry. And the Wanted ROMs list needs an update, too. Thanks for all of you who emailed me offering ROMs (and requesting ROMs, too).

Apollo69 has re-dumped the sound ROMs for Fatal Fury 3, and those ROMs can be downloaded from RetroGames. By the way, Apollo69 mentioned that he's gonna update NeoMAME to RC1 before he 'vanishes' for a while.

Frogger for the Genesis is Vertigo 2099's newest release... I suggest you go download it now... after all, it's a classic (although it's very crappy, for a Genesis game) and the zipfile is very small :)

And (IMHO) today's biggest news is MAME 0.34 Release Candidate 1 !!! Only a couple games were added, and no new ones will be added 'till the final release is out. So... I suggest you visit RetroGames and download MAME 0.34 RC1 (and its source too, if you're interested). More MAME news: both aMAME and pMAME were updated, correcting the checksums for all the NeoGeo ROM 'redumps'. Those are available at Dave's Classics.

Well, that expected emulator posted on yesterday's 'big rumor' wasn't released. That emulator would be a N64 one coded by Sardu. But a new N64 emulator (not a 'Sardu creation') was released yesterday, it's called Nemu64 and it's on version 0.003, running a few demos quite well. You can get Nemu64 at its official homepage.

The one and only "MAME-like" multi-console emulator, MESS, will add PC-XT emulation (probably) on its next release...

Hu6280 v1.84b has been released, adding another cool feature which is .ISO files support ! Well... this new feature will cause a HUGE overload on The Dump when Harry Tuttle releases the .ISO image of Dracula X for the PC Engine.

According to some rumors that many people have heard some days ago, a very expected emulator (written by a very famous author) is going to be released today. This may be true... or only another rumor.

More NeoGeo sound ROM fixes... this time, NAZ released the sound updates to Last Blade, Metal Slug and World Heroes Perfect. Also, Apollo69 released a small fix for OverTop (according to the MAME team, the M1 rom was corrupt).

(Jose, stop teasing him !) Err, Emulation Camp just released a brand new Sega Master System ROM: Dick Tracy ! Head on to EmuCamp and get that ROM now before it vanishes !

Generator is a Genesis emulator for Unix... but many people didn't know that a Win32 version also existed (the Win32 port is unofficial, though). You can get Generator for Windows 9X at Emulation Camp. Want a suggestion ? Test this emulator carefully, and email your oppinion to the author. Also, be sure to visit Generator's official website.

_DrMario_, author of two single arcade game emulators, announced yesterday that he's gonna develop an Atari Jaguar emulator ! This is very good news for all of us, since Atari Jaguar emulators don't exist yet.

(I'm back !) The official SMYGB page reports that the author of SMYGB is adding Color GameBoy support to the next release of SMYGB... interesting... :)

A very rare japanese game called Ultra Seven has been added to the SNES ROMs section.

SNES ROMs section updated again, the following ROMs were also added: Boy's Soccer Team 5 (english version of Captain Tsubasa 5, very rare) and Suzuka 8 Hours (which uses the DSP chip, just like MarioKart).

Two great emulators were updated... they are SNES9X (DOS port has been updated to version 1.15, no GUI) and Retrocade (updated to version 1.1). Get SNES9X at its official site and Retrocade at RetroGames.
